"A Consummate Professional!"
Martyn Peachey of JEC Stone Inc., is the consummate professional! Great vision, -- he’s not only creative and intuitive, but he always places a priority on quality workmanship. My wife and I can’t say enough about Martyn…his work ethic and integrity are uncommon.
Martyn handled our large and complex construction job with a “can-do” attitude at every turn. The finished product is amazingly unique and beautiful, and is the result of Martyn’s accumulated years of experience doing what he loves, as he creates lasting spaces for families such as ours to make memories for years to come.
We feel fortunate and are very grateful to have met and worked with such a remarkable craftsman! If you have the opportunity to do the same…just say YES.

“A true professional”
“A true professional! It was a pleasure doing business with Martyn and his team. No detail was left to chance. Martyn communicates clearly and with detail. No question was left unanswered. He takes ownership and pride in his project, making suggestions and changes to improve the outcome. His team is also professional, taking steps to ensure that our property, pool area, and landscaping were not negatively impacted. He completed the 4-week project on time, within the original bid and to our satisfaction. He over delivered!”

“Thank you so much for your wonderful work”
“I was greatly honored by the naming of the Nancy Pelosi Leadership Walkway and all the work that went into it. Thank you so much for your wonderful work installing the stone for the walkway. The craftsmanship is magnificent and I was delighted by the wonderful effect it had on the National AIDS Memorial.”

“A man of outstanding character, who is committed to quality workmanship”
“Martyn Peachey is a close personal friend who we contracted for a landscaping and stonework job for our house in Petaluma. He is a man of outstanding character, who is committed to quality workmanship. He worked within our budget, and during the course of the job made several key suggestions that not only saved us money but made the final result a great deal better.
Working with Martyn is a pleasure, and he makes you feel like a valuable partner. His ideas are timely and creative, and he always has our bottom line in mind. His crew was professional and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. I would not hesitate to hire Martyn again for any project, large or small.”

“A highly talented craftsman whose workmanship has been outstanding in every way”
“For the past year I have had the pleasure to work with Martyn Peachey at the 745 Mountain Home Road Project (Ellison Residence) in Woodside. I have worked with Mr. Peachey in his capacity as Lead Stonemason and Site Superintendent. I am the Lead Carpenter for the design/build company on the project.
Mr. Peachey is a highly talented craftsman whose workmanship has been outstanding in every way. Perhaps more importantly, on this project, Mr. Peachey is a thorough and clear communicator. All of my dealings w Mr. Peachey have been effective and have led to excellent results. He is as capable as anyone I have ever met.
I will certainly contact Mr. Peachey first when I have need of a stonemason and I look forward to the opportunity to work with him again. I encourage anyone in need of a truly qualified stonemason to engage his services and I am certain they will be more than satisfied with the outcome. “

“The workmanship/quality is exceptional... Second, the work is beautiful.”
“Martyn, I would like to write a letter of recommendation that you can share with prospective clients for the fantastic work you did for us at our beach house in Seadrift Stinson Beach.
First, the workmanship/quality is exceptional. The stonework for the patios, walkways and driveway is perfect. The same goes for the fencing, lawns, gardens, lighting, stone walls, barbeques, fire pit, doors, windows, fireplace, roof, pool etc.
Second, the work is beautiful. You understood our taste and how we wanted to blend our home with the natural surroundings of the Bolinas lagoon and Mount Tam in a simple, natural and understated yet elegant way. You then helped us pick colors and materials, offering helpful suggestions and creative alternatives that matched our taste but that we would not have thought of on our own. You also helped us design the layout in a manner that is both relaxing and beautiful but also very user friendly (for the kids, parties and just living). We constantly receive rave reviews of the work that underscore this. We constantly get compliments on the work.
It was these two qualities that made what started as a smallish project into a large project – we were so impressed by the back patio that we proceeded to redo our entire outdoor living space including a fire pit, pool, driveway, French doors and windows (and more).
Then there are the intangibles that really made a big difference.
You helped keep the cost down. We really appreciated how you explained to us throughout the project different alternatives and their cost. This way we were able to make decisions regarding where to spend that made sense to us and reflected what is important to us.
Your crew was fantastic. They not only did a great job as mentioned above but they kept the job site clean, kept the neighbors happy (very polite) and were very attentive to any request we made.
You selected and managed the subcontractors extremely well. This includes the company putting in the pool, the landscaping and the roof. It all came out wonderful and your management made this happen. To the extent we had any requests with the subcontractors you handled it for us which was a relief given our busy schedules
You were very responsive. In a large long-term project like this there will be problems. Any time we had question or saw problems (such as the time the gas was shut off when the tractor triggered the shut off valve), you returned our call and remedied the situation right away.
You worked extremely well with our neighbors, and with the various permit people. In particular, you developed a great relationship with our next door neighbors that eventually got their written approval of our pool and also got our neighbor to agree to removing her pine trees that were dropping huge amounts of needles in our yard and were blocking the sun from what would become our pool area. You also were able to convince the water district to give us a permit to use our active septic system without which we could not have a pool of the size or in the space we desired. You are a great diplomat. I met a couple of neighbors last week who were not so successful.
Martyn, please share this with anyone who is considering hiring you. Please also let them know that they can contact me directly. Of course make sure that they have seen pictures of the work and if they want to see it in person that is fine too.”

“Our neighbors have commented on how wonderful the house looks.”
“We are very happy with the work that Martyn and JEC Stone did on our San Francisco home. The exterior of our home was completely transformed. Martyn did an excellent job of sourcing vendors for our new windows, front door, and garage door. We did not anticipate doing much work on our backyard, but with Martyn’s vision, we created a more livable (and visually beautiful) back yard including a new custom deck, fence, and gates. Our project came in on time and on budget. He arrived on time, every day, as did his crew. Everything was cleaned up at the end of a workday. Our neighbors have commented on how wonderful the house looks. Martyn will be our choice for future projects. We highly recommend him.”
